After explaining the true meaning of Easter during chapel, all the kids wanted to talk about why we hide eggs. I explained that eggs are a symbol of new life, and how Jesus came back to life and how we have a new life through him. My daughter had her own a-ha moment, however imaginary. She said, "I know why we hide eggs, it is because they hided Jesus in the tomb!" I said yes, because it was just so sweet.
